‘I was convinced from the start’

Software developer Kaihui Chen (39) talks about his job at EOS IT Services GmbH.

My attention was drawn to EOS by an ad in the German daily newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt. Although I hadn’t heard of the company before, it impressed me right from the start.

Maybe, at first glance, my electrical engineering degree from China seems like an unusual qualification for employment at a financial services company. I broadened my knowledge by studying electrical engineering and information technology at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) and then acquiring several years’ experience in the systems development field. This background gave me the specialist knowledge I needed to start work as a software developer at EOS IT Services in November 2006. Here I work with the software programs that the company uses, look after new and varied projects, and develop applications.

At EOS IT Services I have the opportunity to use my acquired knowledge successfully and to enhance it continuously by participating in attractive staff development activities. The things I appreciate most are my skilled and expert colleagues and the pleasant working atmosphere at EOS. As for the future, I hope that EOS builds up a bigger presence on the Chinese market. Then EOS will benefit from my native tongue and my professional experience at local level in China.
